Copyright Notice

This page explains the copyright, licensing boundaries, and disclaimer of ThingsGatewayRuntime. Before use, integration, distribution, or commercial delivery, please refer to the formal licensing agreement and written agreement between both parties.

Free quota and commercial authorization​

The released package can be used for free with up to 50 channels, 50 devices, and 1000 variables. Exceeding any one of these limits requires a commercial offline license:

  • Source code authorization: Full source code for deep customization, secondary development, and source delivery; pricing and delivery scope follow the formal agreement.
  • Activation code authorization: No source code, CNY 1,998, and no limit on the number of Gateway instances. Each instance still generates and imports its own offline license using its Gateway code.
  1. All intellectual property rights of ThingsGatewayRuntime (including but not limited to copyrights, trademarks, and patents) belong to the author Diego.
  2. This software is currently not open source, but some code is planned to be open source in the future. All rights are subject to the Additional Terms set forth in this Notice.

Additional Agreement Clauses​

1. Scope of Authorization​

  • Free Commercial Use: Free commercial use is allowed, limited to the normal use of officially released installation packages.
  • Prohibited Behavior: Decompiling, reverse engineering, cracking software features, or attempting to obtain source code are prohibited.

2. Prohibited Behavior​

  • Direct sale of packaging OEM without permission is prohibited.
  • Prohibit the use of software for any activities that violate local laws and regulations (including but not limited to cyberattacks and data theft).
  • It is prohibited to distribute the assembly separately, integrate it into competitors, or apply for patents in any form (including SDKs and component libraries).
  • It is prohibited to conceal or alter original author information through technical means (such as confusion or repackaging).
  • Decompiling, reverse engineering, cracking software features, or attempting to obtain source code are prohibited.

3. Termination of Authorization​

If any provision of this Agreement is violated, the authorization will automatically terminate, and all copies must be immediately stopped and all copies destroyed. The author reserves the right to pursue legal responsibility.

Disclaimer

  1. This software is provided "as is," and the author makes no express or implied warranties regarding its suitability, stability, or security.
  2. The author assumes no responsibility for any direct or indirect losses (such as data loss or business interruptions) arising from the use of this software.
  3. Users are responsible for all consequences arising from violations of local laws and regulations (such as industrial control system safety standards).
